Our story

From one van in Spruce Grove to a local team

Henday started in 2014 with two people and one van, working a short list of customers around Spruce Grove. Back then the calls were mostly fridges that had stopped cooling and washers that quit halfway through a load. We answered our own phone, drove to every job ourselves, and learned the area well enough to give people a real arrival time instead of a four hour window.

Word got around. A fridge fixed in one kitchen led to a call from the neighbour, then the next street, then the next town. Within a couple of years we were taking regular work in St. Albert, and soon after that we were driving into Edmonton most days of the week.

As the map grew, so did the work. Dryers, dishwashers, stoves, and ovens joined the fridges and washers we started on. We added more brands, from Samsung and LG to Whirlpool, Maytag, and the older units people keep running for twenty years. To keep up without losing the quality of the work, we brought on more technicians, every one of them local and trained on the machines that actually turn up in homes here.

A few things never moved. We still give a clear price before the work starts, so the bill at the end is the one you agreed to. We still load the vans with the parts we reach for most, which is why so many repairs finish in a single visit. And we still put a written warranty on every job, parts and labour, because a repair that does not hold is not finished.

Today Henday is a team of eight technicians across Edmonton, Spruce Grove, and St. Albert, open every day from 7 AM to 11 PM. We are a long way from two of us in a van, but the way we work has not changed since the first week: pick up the phone, arrive when we said we would, and leave the appliance working.
